No Extracurricular List
Please check the list regularly. Each name on this list should be tied to a corrective action plan. The file is inside of Staff Share / A-Lists & Maps.  The review date is also the expiration date.  If the student is keeping up with the plan, extracurricular activity attendance will be allowed. If not keeping up with their end of the bargain, the date will be expanded. The key to making this work is communicating with the student before any events. If you check the list, the students have been told.

As of today, we have 9th grade names on this list, given to us by the 9th grade team (thanks for that). We can help with others as this week progresses.

If a student who has been notified shows up to an event, the student should be reminded of their name being on the list. If a parent cannot pick up right away, the student can wait at the entrance.

Garden work day this Saturday
Would you like to help with the community garden? We're having a work day this Saturday morning starting at 10.  We'll be placing beds and spreading dirt.  I'll be advertising this to kids this week. Sounds like fun? Talk with Tim, and thanks.

From NYSED
NATIONAL BOARD CERTIFICATION AS PART OF DISTRICTS’ PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN (attachment)
  • As a reminder to superintendents, engaging in National Board Certification may be included in the BOCES or district Professional Development Plan for CTLE hours. When a teacher completes National Board Certification in any five-year cycle, this rigorous, research-based teacher quality initiative and professional learning meets the required 100 hours of CTLE provided the required CTLE in language acquisition is met.
  • Districts will be eligible to apply for a one time reimbursement of up to $500  for candidate support services for each teacher in the district awarded the Albert Shanker Grant during the  2016-2017 school year.  The District can apply for reimbursement during the period from April 1, 2017 – June 30, 2017.  Additional information regarding this reimbursement and necessary forms may be found at:  http://www.highered.nysed.gov/kiap/ashanker/albertshanker.html

June 2017 Regents Schedule

From CTS:
5 Chromebook carrying cases were recently replaced. Kids are using the carrying cases as book bags, which is overloading the cases causing rips and damaged zippers. Please remind students to use the the cases just for Chromebooks. I'll also mention in announcements.
