Friday, February 2

Let's make it a fit and fabulous February!  Nobody gets sick, breaks their legs/elbows/wrists, or slides off the road.
Have a great weekend!

2 very reasonable suggestions from a teacher

I received these from a colleague, so I'm passing them along here:
  • Please make sure that all passes are legible. Some are very hard to read.
  • Please include the letter day on all field trip notices. That would save time when planning for class absences.

Learnfit desks earn an A from Houston Biology Teacher
Standing desks have arrived! Let me know if you'd like to try a few. We received 8 the other day, and 12 more are on the truck somewhere. I might even get some more very soon.

Baby gates can be hazardous to your health

Tom, we're glad you're doing OK after your run in with the baby gate.  Keep getting well, and tread carefully my friend!!

Tom wanted to stay involved as much as possible, so he has been sending in videos for his kids everyday.  His intro is, "This is your virtual math teacher Mr. Scolaro."

Great idea Tom!

Calendar goof in May
There was a misprint in our printed calendar, and a discrepancy between that calendar and the academic calendar linked here. For our building, May 8 is the only day in May for parent-teacher conferences. May 16 is pk-5 only. Please check the picture here and adjust your printed calendars.  I will alert all 6-12 families.
